Some decisions don't resolve by thinking harder.

When there's no full playbook, the stakes are real, and clarity has to come before anything else can move — that's when I'm at my best. I've spent over 14 years doing this at organisational scale: building operations in new markets, leading cross-functional programmes across 9 countries, driving change in organisations with good reasons to resist. I do the same work at individual scale through NorthLight Advisory — helping founders, professionals, and people in complex transitions find the signal in the noise.

About Marvin Stahlhacke

How clarity works

Most situations that won't resolve aren't stuck in the circumstances. They're stuck in how they're being seen.

When thinking turns circular – the same considerations returning, decisions resisting resolution – it's usually a sign that the frame is off. From inside that view, there's no obvious way forward. The problem isn't a lack of information, process, or will. The picture just isn't accurate.

Clarity doesn't arrive by thinking harder, or by being given answers. It arrives when the gap between how you're seeing the situation and what's actually happening becomes visible. Once that gap is clear, the situation shifts – not because anything external has changed, but because you're no longer navigating by a flawed map.

My role is to help you reach that vantage point where the terrain becomes legible. From there, the next step tends to become obvious. Not prescribed. Seen.

Who I Help
i.

A decision that won't resolve

You've been here long enough to know that more thinking won't crack it. Something in the picture is off and from inside it, there's no obvious way to correct it. You want space to work through it without adding pressure to what's already there.

ii.

A shift with too many variables

A role, a direction, a situation you didn't fully choose. The complexity is real and the pressure makes clear thinking harder. You want to work through it properly, with someone who can hold the full picture without simplifying it.

iii.

An operation under pressure

The timeline is tight, the stakes are real, and the standard playbook doesn't quite fit. You need someone who has worked in these conditions before and knows how to move when the picture isn't yet complete.

Process & IT Coordinator → Training Manager

2012–2014 · Stockholm

An early-career role that punched above its weight. Across two parallel positions at this Nordic BPO, I owned change management for major client accounts, including Viasat Sverige, while coordinating IT resource prioritisation and training operations for a team of up to 500 agents. It was my first exposure to COPC and the start of a pattern: broad scope, early responsibility, sharp delivery.

For organisations

Consulting engagements

I work with organisations on problems that don't fit neatly into an org chart – launches in new markets, compliance programmes across multiple countries, change in organisations that would rather stay put. Engagements vary in scope; the right starting point is always a conversation about what you're working through.
